Karen Joglar

for Mecano it was a welcome surprise to meet Karen and discover how attached she was to our work.

From her native Puerto Rico, she began sharing with us her impressive poetry. Very soon after, Dirk realized through her writings that he had found his female counterpoint. He never before allowed himself to use lyrics from others to sing, but with Karen came the long awaited exception to the rule.

Nikos Louvros

in 2006 he invited Mecano to participate in an exhibition at Booze Cooperativa that turned out to be a great happening. Since then he has been a member of Mecano.
Nikos is also the organiser of Le Soudage where Mecano has performed several times.

Vivianna Delendas

this extraordinary Greek-Cypriot soprano, is one of our most recent members. Her warm and beautiful voice came on the path of Mecano during one of our performances and was made part of all our live presentations.

Vivianna did Theatrical studies, for five years, at the "TOMEE research laboratory, of human expression".Took part as a performer and an actor, at the "Tomee theater group" productions: "KAFKA", "HUMAN TESTIMONIES", EURIPIDIS: "MEDEA" as MEDEA, SOFOKLIS: "ANTIGONI" as ANTIGONI.
Vivianna Giannaki-Delendas was selected by the French bank BNP-PARIBAS, as the main artist around which was composed the artistic event for the celebration of founding of the bank in Greece (ZAPPEION).
She has performed in Paris, at the Municipality of the 9me Arrond, Salle “Rossini” presenting for the first time in the french language the work “BALLADS” by M. THEODORAKIS and M. ANAGNOSTAKIS, transcripted for operatic voice and trio. The event was selected to be part of the “FRENCH POETIC SPRING”.
She has also appeared with the Dutch avant-garde group “MECANO” in live performances in Athens and recorded for their new album “THOSE REVOLUTIONARY DAYS”.
Vivianna Giannaki-Delendas lives and works in Paris.
